Tips to protect car from rainwater

With the rainy season back in Qatar, motorists must be extra careful not to expose their cars to rainwater. Not only it spreads dirt on the automobile, but it also damages some parts especially the engine.

To avoid such, below are some important measures to keep in mind and help prevent any car damage:

Avoid driving in flooded areas

Water can cause damage to your motor, and could even lead to rusting overtime. Even if the water isn’t over the car’s bumper, it is still possible for the water to slip through the engine, causing damage.

Instead of risking your car to drive through flooded waters, plan ahead, check the weather forecast, and take alternative route.

Keeping car interior dry

Not drying the cabin will erode the body and seat structures, thus it is best practice to remove the seats from their places and secure they are dry before returning them back into place.

Dealing with car electricity

If the car interior has been exposed to water, it is prohibited to turn on any circuit so as not to stun the person or damage the car itself. All you need to do is disconnect the electrodes and dry the braids and circuits. This, too, is in the hands of specialists.
