How to pass your first driving test in Qatar

So the day has finally arrived. You have completed your classes, and you’re ready to take your road test, hoping to finally get your driving license.

We know, it could be nerve-racking at the beginning, but passing your first driving test in Qatar is not as difficult as you might think. Go4Move club has laid out some of the best tips to help you pass your driving test.

1. Dress properly and comfortably

Make your first impression last. Your examiner will know that you’re prepared for the test if you’re wearing proper and comfortable clothes.

2. Listen to your instructor carefully

Do not ask or argue with your instructor. It gives an indication that he can rely on you as a driver.

3. Don’t forget the basics

Before hitting the road, remember to adjust your seat, mirrors, and fasten your seat belt.

4. Check with others in the car

Ask whether everyone in the car is okay before driving; remind them to fasten their safety belts.

5. Keep at a good speed

Drive confidently in a relaxed state of mind at the right pace (within the road speed limit). Your examiner won’t like if you drive too slowly or too fast.

6. Don’t forget your indicators

When changing lanes, parking, or going for a u-turn, always indicate. Also don’t forget to check mirrors, the blind spot, and then put your indicators on.

7. Entering the Main Road:

Before entering the main road, check the side mirrors and then the blind spot. If you do not check the blind spot, the test will fail.

8. Keep a safe distance between cars:

Stick to the two second rule, which means that you have to allow two seconds between you and the car in front of you.

9. Parking the car:

Upon finishing the road test, the examiner will ask you to park your car. Always make sure to park the car parallel to the road. Never park in front of any entrance, gates, or access to the pavement for disabled pedestrians.

10. On the actual test day:

When your name is called to accompany the other three candidates and the examiner to the designated car, try not to go first. Also, don’t tell the examiner it’s your first try, they tend to fail first-time applicants.

Once you finish the test, be calm and patiently wait for the result. Remind yourself that you did your best; in case of the first failure, you will always have another chance to pass the road test.

If you passed the exam, you can register and reserve a car with Go4Move.
